CAMPING

We are very proud to be a greener camping club site, which provides a more environmentally friendly camping experience. Choose between our spacious meadow grass pitches with access to shared facilities only a short stroll away or opt for our more high end premium pitches that come with an ensuite compost loo, private hot shower and a completely covered kitchenette for cooking. whichever pitch type you pick you'll be surrounded by the countryside and glorious views. With very few pitches you'll never feel crowded here.

We not just camping, we're toast marshmallows on a campfire, watch bird feeders in a bird hide whilst having your cake and eating it, kind of camping!

YOUR PITCH

Camping pitches are spacious, in fields with fully mown designated areas and have wonderful views, without being too exposed to the elements.

Each camping pitch can accommodate one family sized tent and a pup tent with a maximum 5 people and boast their own individual garden area so you'll never feel over looked or crowded. We do not allow gazebos on our site but provide our premium pitches with their own private fully covered kitchenette. For grass meadow pitches, light weight pop up shelters are permitted in good weather. For the safety of our guests we do not allow vehicles on the camping field itself, (Packing & unpacking only). There is an allocated parking area in the woodland at the entrance to the field. Due to limited parking, we allow one car per pitch. If you require another vehicle, please contact us before booking.

Toilets and Showers

We pride ourselves on having super-clean composting toilets. Compost toilets are really easy to use and do not smell if used correctly. You will receive information on how to use them on arrival. We also have urinals situated at the shared facilities. Our quirky Alfresco showers run on LPG gas. They are excellent and super hot. We receive high praise from guests for our rain head showers. Great for a refreshing rinse after an early morning swim. Please bring eco-friendly shampoo and conditioner where possible.

Kitchenette - (Premium camping only)

We provide our premium pitches with a private, fully covered kitchenette that's sheltered from the wind and rain. A work bench is provided for all your food prep. (Camp gear, utensils , crockery etc not included) Water is located at the drinking tap on site as well as washing up areas on site.

You also have your own picnic bench inside your kitchenette which you are free to move around the pitch as you wish.

There is a notice board with site information, details of local attraction and takeaway menus.

Non-electric

We are a non-electric site but we do know how important it is to be able to keep food fresh, so we have a solar powered freezer on site for guests to use. We are happy to loan ice packs out for the duration of your stay but please ensure these are replaced before you leave at the end of your holiday.

Campfires

Each pitch has its own private campfire with BBQ grill. We ask that only wood provided/purchased by us is to be used as we ensure the wood is seasoned properly before use Wood is available to buy at an extra cost.

Phone signal and Wi-Fi

We’re an off-grid site so do not have wi-fi available, however, most networks receive 3g/4g. Please check signal strength with your provider.

Recycling and glass

We have provided bins for recycling which is next to the car parking area and ask that you use them accordingly. Our local authority does accept glass in the normal recycling, however since this is a family site based on grass we do ask that glass use is minimal and extra care is taken to avoid breakages. If any glass is broken on the field please do let us know so we can try and make sure it is fully cleared up.

Dogs

We're sorry, but with the exception of guide dogs, we are unable to accept even well-behaved dogs on our site.

Groups

We are a quiet, small, friendly site and for the enjoyment of others we do not accept groups of more than 4 units/tents. We do not accept hen or stag dos or parties of under 18s without accompanying adults. We do not allow radios, stereos or other sound systems and musical instruments are not permitted. Only quiet talking is permitted after 10.00pm.

Bird hide

We have a bird hide situated in the wooded area just above the car park. The hide overlooks bird feeders that are always fully topped up and we are lucky to get visits from a great variety of birds. It's a perfect place to spend a couple of hours watching the birds go about their daily routines. We had the privilege of having tawny owls nesting in our tawny box this year, the young will be in the area until about August before the adult tawnies encourage them to find their own territory. This hide is available only for use of The Hide guests and is open for use 24 hours a day. please ensure only one family is in the bird hide at any one time.

Badgers and foxes

Night-time wildlife is a wonderful thing, and always appreciated here! However, being wild animals they will explore the site and will take the opportunity for a free meal if given the chance. Please make sure to pack food away in suitable containers; recycle food waste appropriately each day, and make sure tents are securely fastened at night.

Re-wilding

Our site is situated on agricultural land. Our aim is to return as much of the natural wild as possible. We are re-wilding aspects of the site by planting new trees and installing a wildlife pond. (Due to the fact that we have put in a new wildlife pond on our campsite, please ensure all children are supervised at all times.) We are also leaving parts of our site to grow wild as well as planting wildflowers and other plants and shrubs to attract nature in.

Future plans include a wildflower meadow, more wildlife ponds, and of course, more bird hides!

Premium camping pitch

Camping, with a little extra! Our premium camping pitches are all you could possibly wish for from a nature based camping holiday. Each premium pitch comes with a campfire and BBQ grill PLUS your own kitchen shelter for cooking. A picnic table and a compost loo (fully serviced for each booking) and best of all your own Alfresco hot shower. Our kitchenettes are fully covered to protect you from wind and rain on those not so perfect days. Our Ensuite compost toilets and showers were built with comfort and ease in mind so there's no need to walk across the field for your late night bathroom breaks. We like to call it, comfortable camping!

Meadow camping pitch

A peaceful setting, beautiful surroundings and a crackling campfire under the stars!

Camping pitches are spacious with a fully mown designated area. Immerse yourself in the peace and tranquillity of an eco-friendly campsite situated in the stunning Pembrokeshire coast national park. You will be provided with your very own campfire and BBQ grill (wood can be purchased from us for £6 for a generous bucket load) as well as a picnic bench for Alfresco dining. Although we do not allow gazebos here at The Hide, we do permit light weight pop up kitchen shelters (weather permitting).

Our clean shared facilities are just a few paces away in the same field as your pitch. Peace and quiet, hot showers and campfires under the stars. Proper camping!

Campervan pitch

Mobile camping with stunning sea views!

Three brand new additions to The Hide, with undeniably the best sea views our site has to offer.

Our sea view campervan pitches come with a campfire (wood can be purchased from us for £6 for a generous bucket load) and BBQ grill so you can enjoy cooking under the stars for that proper back to nature feel. A picnic bench is also provided and our clean shared facilities are just a short stroll through our pretty woodland track.

Pull up, settle in and watch the sun go down over a glass of bubbly. Pure campervan bliss!
