WELCOME TO
THE HIDE PEMBROKESHIRE CAMPING & GLAMPING

Natures hidden gem

Wildlife and nature is at the forefront of our minds here at The Hide.

We're proud to be a Greener Camping Club campsite, known for its eco-friendly and low-impact camping holidays. We're an off-grid , non-electric site, offering you the chance to fully immerse yourself in nature.

By day, you can relax and unwind surrounded by the fresh sea air, and clear blue skies. By night, enjoy stargazing with very little light pollution, whilst sitting around your cosy campfire.

You will find us surrounded by tall trees, stunning sea views, and our very own bird hide, set down a quiet lane within the heart of the Pembrokeshire coast national park in Dinas, North Pembrokeshire.

Our wooded area opens out into a peaceful field of just a few spacious pitches.

The beach is minutes away on foot, and local amenities, a five minute drive.

The Hide truly is nature's hidden gem.

OUR BIRD HIDE

Who doesn't love a bird hide? A slice of cake, a flask of tea, just you and the birds. A lifelong dream of ours has been to own our own bird hide, and now we do, we're happy to share our little 'slice' of heaven with you.

Whether you're rising early for the dawn chorus or staying up late in the hope of catching a glimpse of the badgers snuffling around,

It's all very good viewing from the hide.

A beautiful place to stay isn't the only thing to offer here in Pembrokeshire...

Within the local area there are an array of spectacular beaches, including secluded and quiet spots as well as over 9 more popular and well-known beaches. Sandy Newport, Poppit Sands, Whitesands, Newgale, to name just a few.

The beautiful and picturesque City of St Davids is a great way to spend the day and don't forget a visit to the Cathedral whilst there. We also recommend the chocolate shop for a unique and tasty souvenir to take home with you.

Just a short drive away, the traditional coastal village of Newport is well worth a visit for its relaxed vibe and choice of places to eat.

Whether you're looking to get back to nature at a local nature reserve, or have a fun day out with the kids, there's something to keep the whole family entertained.

There's plenty of local walks nearby so why not dust of those walking boots and explore some of our local treks and trails. Cwm gwaun, the Preseli hills, Dinas head as well as some pretty walks around Fishguard just miuntes drive from The Hide.

What our guests say

Al Reed

Quiet, and non commercial.
Site only has 3 pitches & washing up area. Traffic free as cars are left at parking area near the entrance.
In a lovely area with a beach & the costal path within easy walk (uphill on way back!). Nice views from campsite. Short drive to range of shops/pubs/restaurants in Newport or Fishguard.
Owners are friendly, attentive and take great care of the site, dropping by each day to replenish ice-blocks and top up bird feeders (there’s a hide, unfenced pond and nature area).
It’s a new site and a lot of thought seems to have gone into designing a great site. We’ve camped all over the world & this site is definitely top 3.
Absolutely perfect little campsite and would wholeheartedly recommend for a chilled out “back to nature” stay.

Liked: Everything! Hot and powerful showers, excellent cooking and seating shelter which makes camping very comfortable and easy. Cracking location. Co-op nearby. The owners are also keen to keen to keep the site natural with lots of space for each camper. Daily ice packs available which seems a minor point, but they were a god send when off grid!

Whilst The Hide is a relatively new campsite, the owners have not cut any corners in creating a really comfortable, quiet, attractive and well thought out camp ground. With only a very limited number of pitches on a decent sized ground, there is an abundance of space. With each plot having its own composting loo, covered kitchen area and hot shower, this was truly luxurious camping for us! Throw in great views, friendly helpful owners, a bird hide for guests to use, this was a really enjoyable holiday. Well recommended!
